The England international is currently on £35,000 per week at Anfield, but has recently been attracting interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
And though he hasn’t intimated that he wants to move on, he has highlighted his desire to help the club to a strong finish to the campaign, culminating in a possible FA Cup win.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers had said that he was hoping to secure his future to an “Incredible” £100,000 per week deal, and his reluctance to agree to it now has caused concern amongst the club’s hierarchy.
