Passed up a couple of decent second-half chances. Got through the yards in a game which was played at a much faster tempo than the traditional pre-season friendly.

A goal and an assist for one of four new signings in the Liverpool XI. He picked out Lallana for the first and then showed great feet on the edge of the box en route to scuffing home Liverpool’s second.
