6. Alberto Moreno, Defender
It isn’t often that a top defense struggles so much on the exterior, and yet Moreno made absolutely no impact one way or another for the Reds when they needed someone to give them a shot in the arm. Brendon Rodgers replaced him with Jordan Ibe in the second half and never looked back.
5. Joe Allen, Midfielder
Allen certainly made the most of the minutes he was given in the second half – which is more than can be said for the lineup that was put out there to start the game. Allen’s passes were on target and his speed was useful in an ultimately fruitless effort to make any sort of second half noise.
