2. Philippe Coutinho, Forward
Give Coutinho credit, he set the team up nicely with plenty of deep corner kicks and a pair of shots. Had Asmir Begovic not been having the game of his life he could have been a big hero in this game. Instead, all of his hard work amounted to zero.
1. Stephen Gerrard, Forward
If Liverpool had needed just one goal to stay in the match they would have gotten it from their long-time leader. Gerrard, as he often has been in his career, was the lone bright spot as Stoke needed to be on top of him for the entire match. It was a gritty performance and one that would have been a little more noticeable had the defense appeared in the match.
