The Reds gave a good account for their top four credentials.
It was a big night in the Premier League for Liverpool as a tricky away tie against relegation contenders Fulham ended in a 2-3 victory.
A last gasp winner from captain Steven Gerrard from the penalty spot was enough to give the Reds all three points and really state their Champions League credentials.
Here’s how Brendan Rodgers’ side rated at Craven Cottage:
Simon Mignolet – 6
Couldn’t really do much with either of the home side’s goals, but contributed little else in the game except made one good save from a Steve Sidwell effort.
Jon Flanagan – 6
Was left isolated by a usually defensively minded midfield and failed to really cope with the threat of Kieran Richardson on the left-hand side.
Martin Skrtel – 7
Had to take responsibility for organising the defence in a game where they looked really stretched and the Slovakian did this well but could do with Daniel Agger alongside him.
Kolo Toure – 4
A nightmare night for the Ivory Coast international, who comically turned the ball into his net for the Cottagers’ first, collided with referee later on and then was all over the place for the home side’s second.
Aly Cissokho – 6
Had a much quieter night on the left than Flanagan did on the right as Ryan Tunnicliffe failed to really make an impact, but still looked shaky defensively.
