CM) Jordan Henderson 6 – Not Henderson’s most dominant central midfield performance, either on or off the ball, but he didn’t do a great deal wrong.
CM) Steven Gerrard 9 – Almost dragged his team through single handedly, scoring two wonderful goals and creating almost everything that was good about his side’s play.
CM) Lucas Leiva 5 – Lucas wasn’t great on the night and largely disappeared into the midfield battle, not coming off on top.
