The Reds played in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Philippe Coutinho playing ahead of the central midfield axis of Jordan Henderson and James Milner.
Simon Mignolet – 6/10
Relatively untroubled, but flapped at a corner in the first half which gave the opposition a great chance to break the deadlock. Fortunate to get away with it.
Nathaniel Clyne – 6/10
Solid performance from the new boy, nothing too spectacular but will continue to give Rodgers assurances at right back.
Martin Skrtel – 6/10
Both he and Lovren still looked vulnerable on set-pieces and it will be something that worries Rodgers moving forward.
Dejan Lovren – 6/10
Similarly to Skrtel, even though they may have done a generally solid job in limiting Helsinki, there was still an air of vulnerability about them from dead-ball situations.
Joe Gomez 6/10
Overall decent performance from the youngster, looking to impress in pre-season in order to break his way into the team in the new season.
