Didn’t adapt well to starting as a wing-back, and failed there on in to get involved too much in the match.
CM- Jordan Henderson 7
Picked up a very early yellow that stopped him being able to play his normal game. Scored the winner, and showed why Brendan Rodgers isn’t too concerned about his team once Steven Gerrard leaves.
CM- Joe Allen 6
Was really enegetic, and got stuck in against his former club. But perhaps at times gave the ball away too often.
LM- Alberto Moreno 5
Looked uncomfortable in his position, and was beaten a few times by Wayne Routledge.
