Liverpool transfer news
The 21-year-old was known to have arrived in England this week, arriving in Manchester Airport for what were believed to be talks over an imminent transfer to Old Trafford, though it has now emerged that that is not the case.
Supposedly, Depay has been in touch with Liverpool officials, who have made significant progress in persuading the youngster to instead make the move to Anfield ahead of next season.
The Netherlands wide-man is widely regarded as one of the best up-and-coming talents in Europe at the moment, and it now looks like United could miss out on his signature after Liverpool seem to have hijacked the move.
This will be an exciting signing for the Reds if they can pull it off, with new additions clearly needed in attack.
