Here’s the side we reckon Brendan Rodgers will choose to start to for Liverpool’s match with Spurs on Sunday…
GK) Simon Mignolet
Mignolet’s form has been solid recently, and the Belgian will be hoping for a repeat of the easy afternoon he enjoyed against Tottenham earlier in the season – when the Reds cantered to a 5-0 victory at White Hart Lane.
DR) Glen Johnson
One of the first names on the team sheet when fit, Johnson will look to provide the side with natural width, as we don’t expect Rodgers to deploy out and out wingers today.
DC) Martin Skrtel
The powerful Slovakian has been the lynchpin of Liverpool’s defence this season, and has even chipped in with six league goals too. He’ll be charged with dealing with the aerial threat of Emmanuel Adebayor up top.
DC) Daniel Agger
Agger’s composure at the back was impressive versus Sunderland, as Liverpool won without having to play their scintillating best football. He helps the side retain possession with his passes, and surges into the middle.
DL) Jon Flanagan
Flanagan’s been shaky in his last two fixtures against Cardiff and Sunderland. Rodgers might like to drop him, but he has very few options to choose from in this position, meaning the young Englishman should keep his place.
