DC) Martin Skrtel
The no-nonsense Slovakian centre-half had his head stapled during the FA Cup tie at the weekend, but still carried on and played the full match. With no other defenders available, Brendan Rodgers has little option but to start with Skrtel.
DL) Jon Flanagan
Flanagan was playing very well for Liverpool before injury curtailed his season, and he made his return from the bench against Bournemouth, coming on for Aly Cissokho. The French loanee has been decidedly dodgy all term, and we think Rodgers will throw Flanagan in from the start.
MC) Steven Gerrard
The Englishman now plays in a deeper, anchoring role for the Reds, which is even more important as Brazilian Lucas is injured. With Joe Allen also out, Rodgers only really has the option of deploying two central midfielders against Everton.
