Chelsea plot £30m transfer raid for Aston Villa’s prized asset
The Reds will be looking for a win to keep alive their ever dwindling top-four hopes but will know the three points here will at least give them a shot, while Chelsea have nothing but pride to play for.
We think Rodgers’ side will be particularly attack minded and here’s the XI he’ll use in our opinion:
GK: Simon Mignolet
Mignolet has improved exponentially since the beginning of the season when he was dropped for the even more error-prone Brad Jones.
It even looks like he might win the Golden Glove, almost unthinkable in 2014.
RB: Emre Can
Can has had to take on the right-back role as Rodgers has elected to ever to a back four.
It will be a tough task engaging with POTY Eden Hazard but Can should be happy he doesn’t have to contend with Diego Costa once again.
