Liverpool transfer news
Walcott enters the final year of his deal this summer, and could be available in a cut-price deal. The 26-year-old is chasing a raise on his £100,000-per-week contract, as well as guarantees over a first-team spot, and could be willing to move to get that.
He as struggled for opportunities under Arsene Wenger this term, after returning from a long-term injury absence. Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is a known admirer of the player, having enquired over his availability in 2013.
The player would also provide the Reds with a useful alternative, should Raheem Sterling choose to leave the club for Real Madrid or Bayern Munich during the upcoming transfer window.
