Reds will let England youngster leave.
Liverpool will allow Raheem Sterling to leave the club on loan in January – but only if they can secure an experienced replacement, reports The Daily Mirror.
Since bursting onto the scene at the beginning of last season, Sterling, 18, has struggled for game-time and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers made it clear earlier this week that the youngster has work to do to become a first team regular at Anfield.
Sterling enjoyed an excellent campaign last season before slipping out of contention after Christmas, making 36 appearances in total and making his senior debut for England.
But Rodgers now prefers Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson as a triumvirate behind Daniel Sturridge and Sterling will be allowed to join a Premier League or Championship club in the new year.
The Merseyside outfit want a replacement however, and Sporting Lisbon’s Diego Capel is said to be under consideration.
