Liverpool are reportedly ready to revive their interest in long-term transfer target Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Reds were desperate to sign the Armenian in 2013 before he joined Borussia Dortmund for £21.5m.
Although he has scored 24 goals and provided 20 assists in 94 appearances for the Bundesliga side, the 26-year-old does not seem to be fully content with life at Signal Iduna Park.
In February, these quotes were attributed to his agent: “Henrikh wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season. We will have to wait and see what we can do.”
This gives Liverpool hope that they could finally land their man, and the Independent understands that Brendan Rodgers is hoping to seal a £15m deal to complete his busy summer of business.
Juventus are also thought to be tracking Mkhitaryan. The Serie A champions are very keen to sign a winger and have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela and Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado.
