Key man – Jordan Henderson
The new Liverpool captain has massive shoes to fill with Gerrard now gone, but Henderson should be able to do so just fine.
Henderson has turned into a top-notch midfielder, with the versatility to play just about anywhere and the ability to be a serious scoring threat.
Young player to look out for – Danny Ings
The former Burnley star had 11 goals for the team before they were relegated last season and, at age 23, is expected to only improve.
After having no players record at least 10 goals last year, the Reds will need Ings to prove that he belongs in the Premier League and put points on the board by any means necessary – especially with fellow striker Benteke prone to going on scoring droughts for months at a time.
