Manager
Sometimes it seems Rodgers tries to be too clever for his own good and trying to live up to the idea that he is somehow iconic or world beating manager – be it in the words he says before or after a match or the tactics he employs during it.
Granted the northern Irishman had some cause for celebration and bragging rights during Liverpool’s best spell of the season that was mainly down to his impact on the training field but there are some serious questions to be asked about just what happened at the start and end of the campaign.

Areas to improve next season
Goalkeeping. Defence. Midfield. Attack. Managerial. Coaching. Tactical. Transfers. Boardroom.
The list could almost be endless for the number of things Liverpool have to do to try and get anywhere near their supposed rivals again next season, and what’s more they’ll have to do it without the leadership qualities of Steven Gerrard who for all his faults on the pitch in his senior years was still the driving force for some of the less vocal players in the side.
Good luck keeping control of Mario.
