Liverpool will have to compete with Monaco for the signature of unsettled AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli this summer, reports Football Direct News.
The super rich French club also want Balotelli, and will rival the Premier League title contenders for his signature.
The controversial Italian’s form has tailed off since setting Serie A alight when arriving from Manchester City back in January 2013.
As a result, there’s rumours he won’t be given a starting spot in the Italy side at the World Cup this summer.
His pedigree though is undeniable, although his immaturity sometimes outweighs his ability.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has shown with his handling of Luis Suarez that he has the ability to deal with talented, but sometimes difficult strikers.
The manager currently has Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge to call upon, and while the pair have notched 50 Premier league goals between them, Rodgers will need more options with his side set to compete in the Champions League next term.
Monaco can also offer Balotelli Champions League football though, and have virtual endless resources, unlike the Reds.
