Merseysiders’ patience has finally snapped after Sunday’s latest incident.
Liverpool are prepared to let controversial front man Luis Suarez leave the club at the end of the season, according to reports on Goal.com.
The mercurial Uruguay international was caught biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic on the upper arm during Sunday’s 2-2 draw in the Premier League at Anfield.
And now with the forward set to be hit with a ten match ban by The Football Association, the Merseyside giants are believed to be weighing up allowing the player to depart the club this summer, but only if they receive an offer from a non-Premier League outfit in excess of £40 million for the 26-year-old.
Suarez only signed a new bumper long-term deal with Liverpool last year that ties him to the club until May 2018, and that will simply ensure that the Reds’ American owners, Fenway Sports Group, will be able to get top dollar for their man when the transfer window reopens on June 1.
