Liverpool FAVOURITES to sign France international AHEAD of Man United & Arsenal
Lacazette has been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 giants after talks over a new contract reportedly stalled, and TalkSport [via L’Equipe] reports the Reds are ready to make a move to the French international.
L’Equipe suggests Lacazette’s representatives and Lyon have failed to sort out a new deal for the 24-year-old, with speculation brewing that the player will hand in a transfer request.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to bolster his front third after a disappointing Premier League season last term and have been linked with a move for Lacazette with Aston Villa currently playing hard ball over Christian Benteke.
Rodgers is keen on luring Benteke to Anfield, but according to Daily Star, Aston Villa are demanding Liverpool pay the full £32.5m of the striker’s buyout clause.
The Reds have reportedly baulked at Villa’s demands and could move onto a new target.
