The 22 year-old, who moved to the Stadio Olimpico from Nigerian club My People in 2011, now has over 50 Serie A appearances for the Roman club to his name and is rated as one of Italian football’s most impressive emerging midfield stars.
Also a Nigerian international, Onazi has a burgeoning reputation that could well see him move on from Lazio in the near future, with the Serie A side’s stock having dropped across the continent in recent years, despite a reasonable start to the season.
