Reds keen on signing France forward this summer.
Liverpool may step up their interest in unsettled Paris Saint-Germain front man Kevin Gameiro at the end of this season, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The France international has so far endured a difficult season with the mega-rich Ligue 1 leaders at the Parc des Princes, having made just five league starts all season, playing second fiddle to the formidable Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And the forward’s frustration reportedly reached boiling point earlier this week when the 25-year-old was once again left out of the club’s starting line-up for their Champions League last-16 second leg home clash with La Liga outfit Valencia.
That decision has alerted Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers, who tried to bring Gameiro to Anfield during the recent January transfer window and the Northern Irishman may now attempt to revive his long running interest in the highly rated attacker in the summer.
