Inter Milan were believed to have made an offer for the 28-year-old in January, but The Mirror reports that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers could be willing to sell the defensive midfielder to the Serie A giants.
However, Rodgers would only be willing to sell Lucas if he is able to snare the signature of Manchester City star James Milner in the summer.
Milner comes off contract at the end of the season and is believed to be in the search for more playing time in the Premier League after his opportunities were limited by City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
The Reds will face stiff competition for the England international, with Arsenal also believed to be desperate to bring him to the Emirates.
Lucas made just 15 Premier League appearances this season, and it seems Rodgers would be happy to let the long-serving player go if Milner arrives at Anfield.
