Martinez is currently playing his trade in Portugal, but could be set for a January switch to the Premier League, according to agent Peppino Tirri who is closely associated with Porto.
“Liverpool are in for Jackson,” he said.
“AC Milan? That’s unlikely.
“Porto won’t yield an inch from their €35m (£27.5m) release clause.”
Although the Colombian forward has recently revealed that he is happy where he is, a massive bid could be enough to convince the Portuguese giants to sell.
Brendan Rodgers is looking to add attacking reinforcements to his side, with Mario Balotelli failing to impress at Anfield and Daniel Sturridge struggling with injuries.
Tottenham are also thought to be interested in the prolific forward, but would prefer to offer misfiring forward Roberto Soldado in part-exchange rather than meeting the £27.5m release clause.
