Youngster Luis Alberto is to sign for the Anfield club according to sources in Spain.
Liverpool are closing in on signing Barcelona B midfielder Luis Alberto this summer, with the 20-year catching the eye of Brendan Rodgers with his impressive performances for the Catalan reserves side this year.
Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague tweeted the conformation of the deal, and heaped praise on the young midfielder at the same time.

The young midfielder has been in impressive form for the Barcelona B side this season, scoring 11 goals in 35 appearances in the Segunda Division, and it is this ability to score from midfield that has raised interest from the Premier League club.
Liverpool are in desperate need of a midfield playmaker to take the burden off Steven Gerrard, and the addition of Alberto will enable the Reds captain to push forward more in his role as an attacking midfielder.
While no details of the contract or transfer fee have been released yet, this seems to be the first main signing for Brendan Rodgers this summer, as he continues to rebuild his Liverpool side into European contenders.
