The Reds legend has agreed to join MLS club LA Galaxy at the end of the season, leaving manager Brendan Rodgers with a massive hole to fill. The Northern Irishman appears to be keen on signing Milner for this purpose, and the Daily Express claims that an offer of regular playing time could be a deciding factor that brings the 29-year-old to Anfield.
Milner has scored six goals in 37 appearances this season, becoming all the more important to the team during Yaya Toure’s time away at the African Cup of Nations.
However, it seems that this limited role has not been enough to convince the former Aston Villa midfielder to stay at the Etihad once his current deal expires.
