Liverpool have signed Danny Ward to a long-term extension with the club, securing the services of the young goalkeeper who has yet to debut with the club.
According to the Express, the 22-year-old Welsh stopper will be the third choice as Brendan Rodgers’ stopper, having made just six professional appearances since 2011 – none of which have been with the Liverpool XI. Liverpool initially acquired Ward from Wrexham in 2012 for £100,000, bu the only action the young goalkeeper has seen so far is five games with Morecambe on loan.
With the signing of Ward, the Reds have now signed five total players so far this summer – James Milner, Adam Bodgan, Danny Ings and Joe Gomez along with Ward. Aside from Bogdan, all of the signings are British.
