Gerrard will move on a free transfer.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will announce on Friday that he intends to turn down any offer of a new contract at Anfield and leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season, report the Mail, with MLS sides Los Angeles Galaxy and New York Red Bulls both believed to be interested in acquiring his services.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers had indicated that he was keen to keep his captain at Anfield beyond the end of his current contract, but it would appear that the former England midfielder has decided to seek a new challenge after spending his entire career with his boyhood club.
Gerrard is not likely to be short of offers, despite his advancing years, and is thought to have no plans on retirement just yet, leaving a potentially superb free transfer on the table for someone.
