The Croatian international is widely regarded as one of the most talented young stars in European football, but his future has been up for debate in recent months.
Having been linked with a €30m move to Anfield, particularly after the Reds completed the sale of Raheem Sterling to Man City, he has denied that he will be leaving and has committed his future to the Nerazzurri.
“The club have never said they want to sell me,” Kovacic told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Never. I’ll stay here. I won’t move. That’s what I wanted, that’s what my renewal until 2019 shows, there will be a long relationship between myself and Inter.
“Could I replace Sterling? We have two different roles. It’s not for me to say whether there have been any offers from the Reds or not, hopefully that’s down to my agent.
“That said, I’ll repeat myself – I. Want. To. Be. Here.”
The 21-year-old went on to praise boss Roberto Mancini, and he will now hope that turning down a move to the Premier League doesn’t turn out to be the wrong decision for his future.
Liverpool will now have to consider their other options, with manager Brendan Rodgers likely to be keen to reinvest the funds raised from Sterling’s departure in his squad immediately in order to prepare his team for the new campaign.
