Reds keen on Turkish international.Liverpool are said to be interested in signing Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan as they look to continue their summer spending, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Turkish international has been a key player for Diego Simeone’s side in recent seasons, establishing himself as one of the best attacking midfield players in La Liga and Europe with some fine displays in the club’s title-winning season and run to the Champions League final this year.
Capable of playing on either flank, Turan contributed nine goals and six assists to Atletico’s campaign, and has also been linked with the likes of Barcelona in recent times.
Still, the technically gifted 27-year-old could be a fine addition for Liverpool as they hope to bring in more attacking players following the departure of Luis Suarez in a £75m move to the Nou Camp, with deals for Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana already wrapped up, with Lazar Markovic looking likely to join as well.
Liverpool would have to fork out around £31m to land Turan, but should have plenty to spend after allowing Suarez to leave.
