Luis has been ever-present on the left side of Atletico’s defence this term. His manager Diego Simeone trusts him implicitly, but his international boss clearly doesn’t. Luis can still look forward to a Champions League final this month, however.
DC) Miranda – Atletico Madrid
Miranda is no-nonsense, and prides himself on his strong tackling and robust style. Atletico have the best defensive record in Spain, and partly have the form the the Brazilian to thank.
