According to the Daily Telegraph, the England international seems to have come to an agreement on a wage increase, despite not being offered the full £120,000 per week he had been holding out for.
Sterling’s future has been under some doubt recently, and Gerrard’s confirmation that he would be quitting the club in the summer is known to have shocked some members of the first-team squad.
Still, the Reds could now receive a welcome boost if Sterling, 20, does decide to remain on Merseyside and become part of their future in this post-Gerrard era.
