Reds midfielder out for four European matches.
Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow with the news that midfielder Lazar Markovic has been banned for the club’s next four European games, according to the Daily Express.

The Serb was shown a straight red card in the club’s Champions League group game against Basel earlier this season when he made contact with Behrang Safari just 15 minutes after being introduced.
UEFA protocol says that appeals for red cards can only be submitted over cases of mistaken identity, but Markovic’s incident looks set for a harsh punishment.
Markovic will now miss Liverpool’s Europa League round of 32 clash with Besiktas on Thursday.
He was awarded an initial three-match ban for the offence, but had an extra game added on top of that for getting sent off whilst playing for Benfica last May.
