Daniel Agger reckons Rodgers thinks he’s rubbish!

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has fuelled speculation that he could be leaving Anfield this summer, reports the Mirror.
The 29-year-old has been at Liverpool for eight and a half years, but lost his place towards the end of last season to new signing Mamadou Sakho, who started alongside Martin Skrtel in most of the matches, despite Agger being fully fit.
“I don’t know [why he left me out]. That’s up to the manager. I can’t go and put myself on the team sheet,” Agger sulked to Danish media today.
“It definitely wasn’t great to be left out, but I don’t make the decisions.
“I think it is because the manager doesn’t think that I’m good enough.”
The comments seem strange considering Rodgers made Agger his vice-captain last summer, and has repeatedly stated that he wants to keep the Dane at the club.
When asked whether he would be leaving Anfield this summer, Agger was coy to reports.
“I’m not thinking about my future,” he said.
“Now my focus is on the next international games with Denmark. Then I’m looking forward to a long five-week holiday. My body and mind need to relax.”
His manager Rodgers though has been given a £60m transfer budget, and is expected to invest heavily in improving his leaky defence, which conceded 51 last term, despite finishing second.
