The teenager’s future has been the subject of much speculation this summer.
Liverpool are close to agreeing a new contract with exciting young winger Raheem Sterling, report the Daily Star, with Reds manager Brendan Rodgers confirming that he expects the future of the England international to be sewn up “imminently”.

Sterling has gone from a relatively unknown youngster to one of the most important players for both club and country over the course of the last two years and Liverpool have been keen to tie up his future for some time.
However, Sterling has sought to bide his time in the face of reported interest from Chelsea.
That seems to be a misnomer, though, and Rodgers has confirmed that Sterling wants to stay and he expects a deal to be struck shortly.
It is news that will come as a real boost to Reds fans, who have already been cheered by the performances of their team in recent weeks after an indifferent start to the season.
