Liverpool striker Samed Yesil, who has struggled to challenge for a place in Brendan Rodgers’ plans since arriving from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, has seemingly confirmed a loan move to Turkish club Trabzonspor by posting a bizarre picture on his Instagram account.
The German youth international posted a picture of suitcases, presumably not his, containing money, guns and a cat, accompanied by the word “Istanbul”. Sure enough, it was then confirmed by Turkish Football that Yesil had arrived in the city to discuss personal terms.
They also reported that Yesil had attracted the attention of Istanbul giants Fenerbahce, but the fact that Yesil is a supporter of Trabzonspor means that a move the city of Trabzon, on the Black Sea, remains the most likely outcome.
Twenty year-old Yesil is yet to make an appearance for Liverpool in the Premier League since arriving from Leverkusen in 2012, but the German youth international remains a highly rated prospect at Anfield.
