Manchester City are on the verge of making their third signing of the week – they have already signed midfielders Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph.
According to The Metro, Man City are closing in on an £11m deal for Fulham winger Patrick Roberts, who was being pursued by Liverpool.
Man City are expected to pay about £5m up front while another £6m in add-ons.
The 18-year-old has played for England since starting at the Under-16 level, and he worked his way up to the Under-17 and Under-19 levels.
He has spent the last two seasons with Fulham, who were relegated from the Premier League after the 2013-14 season for finishing in 19th place.
The signing of Roberts would bring even more youth to the Etihad, as Sterling is only 20 years old. However, he has four years with Liverpool under his belt.
Delph also has plenty of years left in him at age 25, and he will bring leadership to Man City after serving as Aston Villa’s captain.
