The 30-year-old was linked with a move to Anfield over the weekend, in a deal that involved an exchange of loan deals with former Milan striker Mario Balotelli.
However, it appears as though Fiorentina are keen to cash in on the German international if he is to leave this summer and they will have several offers to consider before parting company with their star man.
“He is a great champion and can continue to improve,”Andrea Rogg said, according to Football Italia.
“We received more than one offer for Gomez and we’re evaluating them with the player. The Turkish option? Yes, that’s in there too.”
Both Besiktas and Galatasaray have reportedly become alternatives to selling to the Premier League outfit, although Rogg also added that unless their valuation was met, they would be happy to keep Gomez ahead of the new campaign.
The former Bayern ace has struggled with injuries since arriving in Florence, but when fit he has continued to score goals and will be considered a loss for the Viola if they were to sell.
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to reinvest the money generated from the sale of Raheem Sterling this week with the Merseysiders still looking to add a prolific striker to their squad.
