According to recent speculation, the German tactician is wanted by Liverpool after the Premier League giants opted to sack Brendan Rodgers on Sunday.
As reported by the BBC, the Reds want to appoint their new coach as soon as possible in order to give him time to settle during the international break, and Klopp certainly tops their shortlist.
However, Watzke is of the opinion that it is irrelevant where Klopp goes next, as he is adamant that the 48-year-old has all the tools necessary to be a success at any club in the world.
Klopp enjoyed a successful spell with Dortmund where he guided the club to Bundesliga titles and memorable runs in Europe, but it remains to be seen whether or not he takes the job on Merseyside next.
Liverpool are looking for a successor to Rodgers after they made the announcement of their decision to part company just hours after Sunday’s derby against Everton which ended in a 1-1 draw.
