Juventus star Andrea Pirlo will reportedly turn his back on a Premier League move and join New York City this summer.

Pirlo has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool and Chelsea in recent weeks, however Spanish newspaper AS reports the Italian will ink a deal with the Major League Soccer side following Juventus’ Champions League final clash with Barcelona.
New York is believed to be targeting the former AC Milan man after Barcelona star Xavi signed a deal with cashed-up Qatari club Al-Saad.
Pirlo signed a one-year extension with Juventus that keeps him at the club until 2016, however the report does not state the expected transfer fee the City Group-backed side would have to pay – if any at all.
The 36-year-old has been superb for Juventus this season, helping guide the ‘Old Lady’ to yet another Serie A title and the chance to win is third European crown.
New York City have started the MLS season poorly, winning just one of its 13 games to sit bottom of the Eastern Conference.
