Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is set to leave Christian Benteke out of the side that will face Bordeaux in the Europa League on Thursday, according to reports.
Benteke signed for the Reds in a £32m deal during the summer window and has scored two goals in his opening five Premier League matches for the club, including a stunning volley in the 3-1 loss to Manchester United.
According to The Mirror, Rodgers is set to leave the Belgium international out of the clash in order to rest him for Sunday’s clash with Norwich City.
It means compatriot Divock Origi is in line for a start in France despite having limited opportunities so far this season.
The report suggests Adam Lallana will be thrown back into action after recovering from an injury, while Brazilian ace Philippe Coutinho will also travel after missing the clash with United due to suspension.
