Augustinsson played a starring role for Sweden as the Scandanavian nation won the European Under-21 Championships, and his performances have certainly caught the eye of Reds boss Brendan Rodgers.
According to Metro, the 21-year-old has been in talks with Reds officials in recent days over an Anfield move.
It’s understood a £2m transfer fee has been agreed between Liverpool and Copenhagen and reports suggest Augustinsson will agree to personal terms with the Reds in the coming days.
Augustinsson will provide strong competition to current first choice left-back Alberto Moreno and has already played for Sweden at senior international level.
The defender only joined Copenhagen in January this year from Swedish top-flight side IFK Goteborg, but it is believed the Danish Superliga club are happy to cash in on the youngster.
