Reds to bring Lille star on board this week.
Liverpool are set to wrap up the signing of young Lille striker Divock Origi this week after lodging a £9.8m bid to bring him to Anfield, according to the Metro.
The 19-year-old has been impressing several Premier League sides thanks to his fine performances for the French side this season, and has convinced Liverpool to make their move following his exciting appearances at the World Cup with Belgium.
It is thought that Brendan Rodgers sanctioned the move after watching him score in the Red Devils 1-0 victory over Russia in Group H, and reports are now suggesting that he has agreed personal terms with the Reds and will seal his move to the club at some point this week.
However, Liverpool will loan the starlet back to Lille for the rest of the season in a bid to keep the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham at bay by snaring his signature early and letting him mature for another year in Ligue 1.
Should he complete the move to Brendan Rodgers’ side this summer, Origi would join new signing Rickie Lambert at the Anfield outfit as Liverpool look to bolster and enhance their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
