The Reds will equal Stamford Bridge…
Liverpool’s expansion of Anfield will apparently give them £25 million extra in ticket sales and naming rights that will help them to equal Chelsea’s transfer outlay, says CaughtOffside.

The extra 8,500 seats of the redeveloped stand are meant to be able to bring in £20 million of extra revenue, while £5 million will be raised by selling naming rights. This influx of money will allow the Reds to spend while staying within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play guidelines. The club spent over £115 million in the summer transfer window, but this was largely funded by the £75 million sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
This will also supposedly mean that the Merseyside club will now be able to rival teams such as Chelsea in their transfer dealings. Which could mean that situations such as Willian going to the Stamford Bridge outfit ahead of Anfield might not happen again.
