Rodgers is looking to add firepower to his attacking stocks over the summer, and Daily Star reports that the Reds will attempt to make a play for the Colombian despite his poor season on loan at Manchester United.
Falcao scored just four goals in 29 appearances for the Red Devils last term and cost the club £16m in wages.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho remains keen to bring the former AS Monaco man to Stamford Bridge next season, but only if he agrees to take a major pay cut from his current £265k-a-week deal.
The Blues are still believed to be the front-runners in the chase for the former Atletico Madrid striker as they can offer Champions League football.
Falcao will likely have more opportunity to play at Anfield, but will do so in the Europa League.
