Liverpool are readying a £14.9m bid for Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev, according to reports.
Cheryshev has struggled to make an impact at the La Liga giants, but impressed on loan last season with Villarreal and is believed to be looking for a move away from the Bernabeu in search for first-team action.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Russian international, however, The Telegraph reports that Liverpool are plotting a £14.9m move for the 24-year-old.
The report suggests Liverpool may include a buy-back clause to get the deal over the line, with Brendan Rodgers determined to strengthen his midfield following the £49m departure of Raheem Sterling.
Cheryshev is yet to make an appearance in the La Liga with Real Madrid but scored four goals in 26 appearances to help Villarreal to a sixth-placed finish last term.
The pacy winger has won seven caps for Russia since making his international debut in 2012.
