Liverpool will step up their efforts to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus by offering him a contract that would make him their highest paid player ever, paying him a reported £200,000-per-week, the Metro reports.

The Reds are keen to beat he competition lining up for the Germany international and in their desperation to win the race for his signature they will make him a huge contract offer that will see him become the club’s highest paid player ever.
Brendan Rodgers has reportedly already sanctioned a £200,000-per-week deal on a five-year contract, meaning all that is left to negotiate now is the transfer fee between the two clubs.
Reus, who currently earns about £60,000-a-week, is expected to jump at the move, the Liverpool will need to act fast as they aren’t the only club interested in him with significant financial clout.
