Liverpool’s summer spending is reportedly set to continue with a move for Barcelona winger Pedro.
The Reds are already preparing to make a big move, as they are willing to match star striker Christian Benteke’s £32.5m buy-out clause.
According to The Metro, Liverpool are also ready to match Barcelona star forward Pedro’s release clause, which is worth £20.9m.
It has already been reported that Liverpool are the frontrunners to land the 27-year-old Spanish international, as they have jumped ahead of Chelsea in the race.
Pedro recently helped lead Barcelona to the UEFA Champions League title.
However, his playing time was reduced due the likes of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez keeping him out the team.
Despite signing a contract with Barcelona that will expire in 2019, Pedro is expected to look for opportunities that would give him more playing time.
The Reds would be able to complete their mission to shore up their scoring attack if they are able to somehow land both Pedro and Benteke.
Regardless, signing one of them would instantly upgrade their scoring attack, and they have already gotten off to a good start with the signing of striker Danny Ings.
