Brendan Rodgers is keen to bring in an upgrade on current number one Simon Mignolet, who has been disappointing since he joined the club from Sunderland last summer, though Victor Valdes has previously emerged as the club’s first choice target.
Still, Hart’s quality and experience at the top level would make him a tempting signing, especially as he could be available for a reduced fee as his current deal nears an end.
The England international’s contract runs until the summer of 2016, and he insists he has not been offered a new one.
