Marco Reus could be the man to replace Sterling on the roster. Can Reus replace Sterling’s production though?
After selling Raheem Sterling to Man City for a whopping £44 million that could climb as high as £49 million, Liverpool have now targeted Marco Reus as his replacement.
According to the Metro, the 26-year-old Borussia Dortmund attacker has been moved to the top of the list of Liverpool transfer targets following Sterling’s departure. The Metro reported that the German attacker/striker has been a target of Reds boss Brendan Rodgers for a long time and he hopes to land Reus this summer with the cash he now has in hand.
Reus has shown incredible versatility both as a scoring striker and as both a winger and attacking midfielder. The German star has scored 10 goals or more in each of his last five years, dating back to his time with Borussia Mönchengladbach, and led Bundesliga in assists in the 2013-14 season.
